In Photography, how do you change the camera focus from the foreground to the background (or vice versa)?
I'm not studying or even that interested in photography, but I do love my camera - it's a FujiFilm S5700, 7.1 megapixels and 10x optical zoom. If I'm photographing something like two lego minifigures, one in the front and one in the back, how do I keep the camera in the same position and change the focus from the front one to the back, or the back one to the front.

Manual focus function would be one way. My S7000 and S9100 Fujifilm cameras had a button at the side of the lens that, when set in manual mode, you could press and it would focus just once on its own and not any after that.
If not, here's how to do it in autofocus mode:
You camera is probably set to center focus--when you push the shutter button halfway down, little red lines appear in the center of your viewfinder/screen. That's where the focus is centered. Place the spot where those red lines are on the subject you want in focus, press the shutter halfway down and hold it, move the camera back to the way you want it framed, then press the shutter the rest of the way down.
After you press the shutter halfway down, the focus locks. You must be careful to re-frame the photo without moving the camera closer or farther away from the subject though.
